It was a privilege for us to participate in a remarkable performance organised by Lorna Coulson from Celebrate your Heartbeat, which brought together individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Ukraine, Egypt, India, Turkey, the US, Germany, Uganda, and various other countries and cultures.
The event, held in Plymouth, was a great success, and we are delighted to be invited back to conduct workshops and host another performance in 2025.
We were deeply moved by Lorna's thoughtful gesture of providing drums for everyone to join us in playing "Army Dreamers/May all people live in peace." The synchronized drumming at the heartbeat rate and the collective singing of "May All People Live In Peace" (our own chant) by all participants was a poignant moment. This experience once again highlighted the fact that music truly serves as the universal language that transcends all barriers.
